What is Chubby Bird?
Chubby Bird is a bite-sized high-score game from Moji Studios, the indie studio dedicated to recreating the feel of early-2000s games. It stars the Moji chick — the round yellow face of the studio — and it asks exactly one thing of you: keep flapping.
There's nothing to buy, nothing to install, and no account needed to start. Open the game page in any modern browser and you're playing within seconds. It's the studio's first live game, out now while MojiWorld and Bitmon are still in development.
How to play
If you've ever played a one-button flapper, you already know the drill — and if you haven't, you'll learn it in about four seconds:
- Tap or click to flap. On mobile, tap the screen; on desktop, click. That's the entire control scheme.
- Dodge the pipes. Each gap you clear bumps your score. Touch anything and it's game over.
- Chase the leaderboard. The game keeps a monthly Top 20 — scores reset to a fresh board each month, so there's always a new chance to claim a spot.
One button, a hundred deaths, and an embarrassingly small leaderboard you'll still want your name on. Chubby Bird is exactly as simple as it looks and exactly as hard as you fear — which is the whole point.
Part of the Moji universe
The bird you're flapping is the Moji chick — the same little character on the Moji Studios logo. Chubby Bird is the studio's first live game: while MojiWorld heads toward its Steam launch (expected July–August 2026) and Bitmon breeds its 240+ creatures in development, Chubby Bird is the one you can actually play today.
Everything is built in the studio's signature hand-pixeled, early-2000s style — cozy retro vibes, no microtransactions to dodge, just pipes.
